Green Aloes

There are many stages to the flower of the Aloe. They usually start off pale green and spear shaped then slowly evolve into a colorful explosion of small tube like appendages reaching out from the stock. The full evolution can take weeks or longer and every few days they morph into something more complex until finally the flower begins to wither and die. Due to the similar climate we have to South Africa, we are seeing more of these gems around Santa Barbara all the time.
