This is a view of Rincon that I could go back and paint time and time again. A good friend of mine owns a ranch up the hill and allows me in to paint every so often. The waves don't have to be perfect to look good from above. Its always hard to tell just how big it really is when looking down on the lineup. I have a way of exaggerating the quality of the waves in most of my ocean paintings. Its all those countless fantasy doodles of perfect setups from the early days that jump out from my subconscious.
