The Gaviota Coast 16x20 oil on canvas
This painting is of the stretch of coast directly in front of Arroyo Hondo on the 101 Freeway. There is a large rest stop there for parking and a steep trail to the beach under the train trestle. This piece was the most widely used image of mine I had ever seen. All to my surprise it kept popping up. First on the glossy cover of the Art Walk invitation to the annual Museum of Natural History art show. Then in the news paper covering the same event, and then again blown up huge in a State Street store front window lit up at night as an advertisement for the show. I didn't think too much of the painting at first but after all that it started to grow on me. Now its hanging in my bathroom.
