I was painting an old truck on Santa Cruz island last year that wasn't turning out so good.  On the horizon I saw our Island Packer boat coming to pick us up and felt too rushed to continue with this size canvas. It sat in a basic outlined form for many months and finally last week I turned it upside down and threw some pomegranates on top of the truck sketches leaving just a hint of the old GMC.
